Technik macht es möglich. Kontaktmikrofone, die in den Waben eines Bienenstocks eingebettet sind, erfassen die Vibrationen und Geräusche eines Bienenvolkes. Die registrierten Schwingungen werden in Echtzeit auf einen begehbaren Raum übertragen. Dieser Raum wirkt wie ein akustischer Klangkörper des Bienenstocks und die Teilnehmenden haben das Gefühl, sich mitten im Bienenstock zu befinden.

Die Arbeit ist eine Weiterentwicklung von von Ludwig Berger’s erstmals während der Klang Moor Schopfe 2019 in Gais CH realisierten Installation. Gemeinsam mit Fabian Gutscher realisierte er diese neue Version mit und für SOMALGORS74.

Technology makes it possible. Contact microphones embedded in the honeycomb of a beehive record the vibrations and noises of a bee colony. The registered vibrations are transmitted in real time to a walk-in room. This room acts like an acoustic sound box of the beehive and the participants have the feeling of being in the middle of the beehive.

The work is based on Ludwig Berger’s former installation first realized in 2019 during the Klang Moor Schopfe in Gais CH. Together with Fabian Gutscher he realised this new version with and for SOMALGORS74.

Stell dir vor, ein Dorf wird zum Spielfeld. Am letzten Wochenende im Juni verwandelt sich Tschlin in einen Minigolf-Parcours.

Zehn erfinderische Bahnen führen quer durchs Dorf – über Brunnen und Dächer, durch Scheunen und Gassen, vorbei an Haustüren. Wer mitmacht, entdeckt vertraute Orte auf überraschende Weise neu.

Gespielt wird halbtags in Gruppen von bis zu sechs Personen, Dauer etwa 3,5 Stunden. Der Parcours ist für alle ab 6 Jahren geeignet und macht auch Anfänger*innen Freude, denn einige Bahnen setzen auch auf das Glück des Zufalls. Am Schluss wartet ein kleines Andenken auf alle Teilnehmer*innen.

Am Samstag Abend gibts Grill und DJ bei spiert avert. Sonntagnachmittag sorgt Live-Musik der Holzk(n)opfmusi rund um den Parcours für zusätzliche gute Stimmung.

Imagine a village becoming a playing field. On the last weekend in June, Tschlin is transformed into a mini golf course.

Description
Ten inventive trails lead across the village—over wells and roofs, through barns and alleys, past front doors. Participants will rediscover familiar places in surprising ways.

The game is played in half-day sessions in groups of up to six people and lasts around 3.5 hours. The course is suitable for everyone aged 6 and above and is also fun for beginners, as some courses rely on luck. At the end, a small souvenir awaits all participants.

On Saturday evening there is bbq and DJ at spiert avert. Sunday afternoon, live music from Holzk(n)opfmusi will add to the good atmosphere around the course.

Alltagsgegenstände werden zum Material für musikalische Instrumente, Experimente und Installationen.

Zuerst machen wir einen Rundgang und entdecken Klänge im Dorf und Wald. Danach bauen wir uns Instrumente. Anschliessend lesen wir unsere Umwelt als Partitur und bringen die fabrizierten Instrumente zum erklingen.

We playfully expand our awareness—of the sounds of the environment and of hearing itself. What unexpected sounds lie dormant in objects? How can we make the unheard audible? Everyday objects become material for musical instruments, experiments, and installations.

First, we’ll take a walk and discover the sounds of the village and the forest. Then we’ll build our own instruments. After that, we’ll interpret our surroundings as a musical score and play the instruments we’ve made.

Wie wollen wir mit dem althergebrachten Erbe dieser Brunnen in Zukunft umgehen? Das Projekt ’Il bügl public’ nimmt sich dieser Frage an. Als öffentliches Bad soll der Brunnen wieder Teil sozialer Aktivität werden und den Dorfplatz neu beleben. Wir laden zum gemeinsamen Bad im aufgewärmten Bergwasser ein und wünscht Ihnen dabei viel Vergnügen!

The village fountains in the Engadin had an important social function in the village. Nowadays they ripple largely unused. Dipl. Ing. Dr. Michael Machatschek stammt aus St. Wolfgang im Salzkammergut und absolvierte das Studium der Landschaftsökologie an der BOKU in Wien. Er war Hirt und Senn und bewirtschaftete mehrere Bergbauerhöfe. Als Buchautor von «Nahrhafte Landschaft» versucht er auf die Nutzung wildwachsender Pflanzen und das Gebrauchswissen und alte Landnutzformen hinzuweisen und hält dazu international Kurse und Referate ab.

Dipl. Ing. Dr. Michael Machatschek comes from St. Wolfgang in the Salzkammergut and studied landscape ecology at the BOKU in Vienna. He was a shepherd and dairyman and managed several mountain farms. As the author of the book “Nahrhafte Landschaft” (“Nutritious Landscape”), he tries to draw attention to the use of wild plants and the practical knowledge and old forms of land use and holds international courses and lectures on this subject.

Das gemeinschaftliche Musizieren als kulturelle Aktivität besteht in vielen Bündner Gemeinden bereits seit Generationen und hat sich über die Zeit hinweg als ein bis heute bestehendes, wichtiges Element der traditionellen dörflichen Kulturpraxis gehalten. Das Plurifon nimmt diese Kulturpraxis auf und macht sie materiell in einem performativen Objekt greifbar.

Es kann unabhängig davon, ob man Musiker:in oder Laie ist, gespielt werden. Als Instrument erzeugt es nicht nur Musik, sondern nimmt auch eine soziale Funktion ein und fördert das einander Zuhören.

Das Instrument wurde entworfen und gebaut durch Camille Sauthier und dem Instrumentenrestaurator Michel Vernaz.

Collective music-making as a cultural activity has existed as part of many communities in Graubünden for generations and has remained an important element of traditional village cultural practice over time. The Plurifon takes up this cultural practice and makes it materially tangible through a performative object.

It can be played regardless of whether one is a musician or a layman. As an instrument, it does not only produce music, but also takes on a social function and encourages listening to each other.

The instrument was designed and built by Camille Sauthier and the instrument restorer Michel Vernaz.
