Wir erweitern spielerisch unsere Aufmerksamkeit – für die Geräusche der Umwelt und für das Hören selbst. Welche unerwarteten Klänge schlummern in den Dingen? Wie können wir Ungehörtes hörbar machen? Alltagsgegenstände werden zum Material für musikalische Instrumente, Experimente und Installationen.
Zuerst machen wir einen Rundgang und entdecken Klänge im Dorf und Wald. Danach bauen wir uns Instrumente. Anschliessend lesen wir unsere Umwelt als Partitur und bringen die fabrizierten Instrumente zum erklingen.

Workshop Leitung
Tobias Reber ist Musiker und Kunstvermittler und lebt in Biel. Als Lehrer und Musikvermittler arbeitet Tobias primär im Bereich der zeitgenössischen und elektronischen Musik, auf allen Stufen von Basis- bis Hochschulstufe, und verantwortet seit 2018 das Kontextprogramm beim Musikfestival Bern.

Description
We playfully expand our awareness—of the sounds of the environment and of hearing itself. What unexpected sounds lie dormant in objects? How can we make the unheard audible? Everyday objects become material for musical instruments, experiments, and installations.
First, we’ll take a walk and discover the sounds of the village and the forest. Then we’ll build our own instruments. After that, we’ll interpret our surroundings as a musical score and play the instruments we’ve made.

Course management Tobias Reber is a musician and art educator who lives in Biel. As a teacher and music educator, Tobias works primarily in the field of contemporary and electronic music, at all levels from elementary to university, and has been responsible for the contextual program at the Bern Music Festival since 2018.
