Künstler und Kurator Jean Bernard Koeman hat Somalgors74 für die Ausstellung NOMADIC MOUNTAINS eingeladen.
In Zusammenarbeit mit SCHUNCK und dem Dutch Mountain Film Festival hat er eine facettenreiche Ausstellung zum Thema Refugium, ein Zufluchtsort in der Wildnis, zusammengestellt. In der Ausstellung treffen sich Bildende Kunst, Architektur und Textdokumente welche den mentalen Raum von Hochgebirgsrefugien ausloten. Somit zeigt die Ausstellung NOMADIC MOUNTAINS zeitgenössische Entwicklungen des Refugiums und untersucht die mentale Kondition des Künstlerdaseins und des Museums. Können Museen auch Refugien sein?
Als 1:1 Modell schiebt sich der Eingangsbereich der Fassade von Somalgors74 aus Tschlin, CH, in das Museum SCHUNCK in Heerlen, NL, ein und verweist mittels des diesjärigen Posters auf seine Existenz und Aktivitäten.

Artist and curator Jean Bernard Koeman invited Somalgors74 for the exhibition NOMADIC MOUNTAINS.
In collaboration with SCHUNCK and the Dutch Mountain Film Festival he has put together a dazzling exhibition, the central focus of which is the Refuge, a place of sanctuary in the wilderness. The exhibition is a curiously layered configuration of visual art, architecture and text documents exploring mental spaces of high altitude Refuges. NOMADIC MOUNTAINS shows the contemporary development of the Refuge and examines the mental condition of the artist and the museum. Can an art museum also be a Refuge?
The entry part of the facade of Somalgors74 from Tschlin, CH, cuts as 1:1 scale model through the museum SCHUNCK in Heerlen, NL, and connects both places. Furthermore Somalgors74’s recent poster points out its existence and activities.
